This warning is required when a business is aware of or believes one or more of these listed chemicals or elements may be present in their products.
RCM Industries, Inc. produces high pressure aluminum die castings. Most of the aluminum alloys used today contain some level of lead, usually less than .1%. Lead is on California’s cancer and reproductive harm lists. Most aluminum alloys are physiologically inert in their solid form and the lead is safely contained within, however user-generated dust and/or fumes may pose a hazard if inhaled or ingested. Heating beyond a certain temperature may also provide avenues for exposure.
Note: Metal products are not typically considered hazardous in their solid distributed form by OSHA and Federal Standards. Fumes or Dust from ANY product can be hazardous to your health without proper safety protection.
