Each RCM manufacturing facility maintains a quality assurance laboratory which is capable of effectively managing product compliance to specification. Process monitoring and quality audits occur at every stage of die casting to consistently maintain our strict density and porosity standards.
RCM team members participate in Quality Assurance training and demonstrate expertise in Statistical Process Control procedures to monitor, test and analyze each customized casting cycle to your exacting standards.
Our facilities conform to ISO/TS 16949: 2002 and/or ISO 9001: 2000 quality management systems, as well as a variety of automotive standards. We instill accountability for product quality in every team member who participates in your custom casting project. RCM’s facilities are measured by industry-wide metrics that drive our team to continuously improve performance for you.
All told, our family of U.S. manufacturing facilities helps RCM stand out as an integrated organization that applies technology-leading process controls at every stage of production for every industry served.

Simulation Software blueprints production beforehand to ensure quality. |
Our simulation experts use RCM’s industry-leading gate and runner design techniques to determine the best point to inject molten metal into a die to ensure you receive finished parts with the best density and structural features possible.

|
With the use of X-Ray we can detect process variablity. |
|
As part of our testing procedures, X-Ray is used by inspectors to verify our casting process. This allows us to find and correct problems to deliver a better and trouble-free casting.

|
Computer Modeling identifies all adjustments necessary for your custom specifications.
Our flow simulation system predicts all critical dynamics of the die including part dimensions, temperature, solidification and turbulences so adjustments can be made to problem areas that, if undetected, could compromise the integrity of your final parts. |
Near Net-Shaped Castings reduce costs.
Net-shaped castings require little to no additional machining procedures eliminating extraneous manufacturing costs by holding tight tolerances throughout production to deliver finished product quality. By eliminating the extra machining needs of many parts, production can run expediently and efficiently while adhering to quality standards. |

Vacuum-Assisted Die Casting improves structural integrity.
This process significantly reduces internal and surface porosity that can occur in critical areas of your casting during solidification. During the die casting process, air is entrapped in the die. RCM’s vacuum-assisted technology significantly lowers air resistance as metal enters the die, improving the density and overall structure of your final part. |
